Tucumcari Today!

The Route 66 trail through New Mexico has a lot of I-40 miles you have to travel. In the Eastern half, the high point is easily Tucumcari, before you're stuck on the superslab. West of Tucumcari there's not a lot of "Route 66" feel until you pass Albuquerque.

Would have loved to see the neon at the Blue Swallow by night. Nice rooms, too, from what I've heard.

Another "Giant alert!"

Tucumcari Mountain, another "Cars" inspiration
